LightBulb Publishing

LightBulb Publishing is a Canadian company developing a line of books and merchandise to help parents get their young children (ages 2-8) to eat healthier, increase physical activity and lead healthier lifestyles. Childhood obesity rates continue to rise. Experts agree education about nutrition and the need for increased physical activity is key to the solution.

Our secret is to start early and make learning easy for the parents and FUN for the children!

Books playfully teach about nutrition, food choices, ways to increase activity, and about ethics and values. Our line of branded merchandise appeals to children and serves to reinforce the message of building a healthy lifestyle, starting at an early age. Parents can use our books as a framework to introduce a wide vocabulary and initiate important conversations with their children about nutritious foods, healthy physical activities and about the values they want to teach their children.

Our vision is to raise a healthier, more active and more compassionate generation, one letter at a time!

Tips for getting your kids to eat healthy!

1. Try the “one bite” rule when introducing new foods to your children.

2. It is important to introduce new foods as soon as possible, as likes and dislikes are influenced by what is offered in these early years.

3. Most importantly, be a good role model! Children are learning from your actions all the time and if you eat well, they will want to too!
